Adobe Master Collection Install Failure (Mac)

While installing the Adobe Master Collection CS3 for the Mac I got all the way though the first disc and then a blank window popped up, stopping the installer dead. The error, a single blank window where it should be asking for disc two is a fairly common one apparently and is caused by a conflict between Safari 3.x Beta and the Master Collection installer.
