How do I get the thermometer to show no decimal points? I would actually like the numbers to not have a dollar sign or decimal points because I’m trying to show the number of ITEMS sold, not money raised. So what I need for it to look like is

5,000
NOT
$5,000.00

Yup, any time someone posts a comment, or a change is made to the site resulting from user input, the plugin reverts back to 0, and changes color to the default blue. Is there a fix yet?

You can suppress the currency character using the optional php ! flag. I am using this plugin for my local primary school site in the UK collecting Tesco vouchers

I use this format string

works fine, you can see it here

Great article. It led me to a question which you may be able to answer. I am not an SEO expert, just a website owner trying to understand how to create an effective website. I have a question regarding deep linking and SEO. Do you think it is effective to (a) skip placing a video on the home page and (b) instead placing videos on deep link pages which are topic specific?

Hmmm, the code I just posted is not accepted… Let me explain what you need to do.
1. call the thermometer stylesheet you want to use (default or default-purple or…). The code needed is something like this: link rel = stylesheet type = text/css href = h t t p www yourdomain ???/wp-content/plugins/fundraising-thermometer-plugin-for-wordpress/images/default-purple/style_dot_css
2. place the php-code which calls the thermometer graphic (something like: show_ourprogress_graphic).

The exact code needed is available in the description of this plugin.

I installed the plugin within a wordpress 2.9.1 website. To place the thermometer on a post or a page you need to place the necessary code. But, php-code is not accepted within a post or page. So you need to install another plugin to enable php-code within a post or a page. The plugin is called: Exec-PHP

After you installed Exec-PHP, you place this code (without the quotes) on your page or post (in HTML-mode!):
“Some text about the fundraiser……

“

Have been trying to get the plugin to appear on our website but no matter where I put the code, nothing shows up. Using Wordpress 2.9.2–latest version. Would really love to make this work for our current fundraiser. Is the plugin still supported?

I agree. Quality backlinks is the way to go. Blog commenting on relevant sites is vital and also be natural as possible. Don’t spam as you will get caught out. Great article will bookmark this as this will help my business in the future cheers!

Jon… i think i have the same problem, and wondering if it doesn’t work in newer version of wordpress too.
As a temporary measure I have had to hard code the php echo show_ourprogress_graphic() into my sidebar.php and that seems to work. But it shows nothing if i add it to a post or page.

anyone any ideas?
