Friends, can you maybe asssit me? A good friend of mine is considering buying themselves a new CBR 1000 as their first new bike! They have never rode much of anything else before! I did say this is definitely not a very good idea for the first one, but they are adamant and wont change their mind! What do you rekon, is this ok and would u then just recommend good training lessons?

Did anybody work out what to do to show the currency drop down if it is not appearing? Or failing that, How would I change the default currecny from $ to £?

Is this plugin not compatible with the new wordpress upgrade? I put in the string and it shows nothing.

You can create a smaller version yourself if you’re feeling adventurous: First, make a copy of one of the existing styles and rename it. Then (in the copy obviously) reduce the image size in Photoshop or your favorite graphics editor. Then you have to edit the CSS file to match the new dimensions. I also changed the number of repetitions of the side value scale from 10 to 2 in the PHP file, as it looked better at the new smaller size. It’s fiddly but it wasn’t terribly hard.
The issue with the settings being constantly reset is a big one. I thought it was losing its settings when I added other plugins to WordPress but it really seems to just be random. If it keeps happening I will probably just hardcode the values into the PHP file instead of relying on the settings page.

Is there anyway to change the size of the picture? At 200px it’s too big for my sidebar.

Thank you very much Kat. That fixed the settings being erased for me.

Anyone having problems with the numbers not lining up just needs to modify the style.css associated with the theme you are using. The .progressvalue’s top margin should be 16px instead of 25px. Use the code below:

.progressvalue {
border-top: solid 1px #cccccc;
margin: 16px 0px 0px 0px;
}

I had the same problem with my thermometer resetting. It’s a bit of a kluge but I got around it by modifying the ‘our progress.php’ file directly. The show_ourprogress_graphic() includes the following lines of code. Change the $max number once and $current number as your amount changes.

if(get_option(“ourprogressmax”)) {$max = get_option(“ourprogressmax”);} else {$max = “2000000″;}
if(get_option(“ourprogressprogress”)) {$current = get_option(“ourprogressprogress”);} else {$current = 333000;}

For anyone who’s option values revert back to the default values (because there are no values in the database table for these options) when submitting a comment. Rename your submit button in ourprogress.php around line 111 to something unique e.g. submitprog and then also change the corresponding variable name on line 33 if ($_REQUEST['submitprog']). This solved the problem for me.

Great plugin idea, but I am having the same issue as everyone else. I will change the Current Amount to a figure, and then it reverts back to 0.

I’m running wordpress 2.8.5 – I”m trying to figure out how to install the progress thermometer in a widget. Please advise..

Also – has anyone been able to reduce the size of the graphic?? Thanks!

My fundraising target is $10000 and I have reached $3000. But whenever I make these changes in the My Progress admin, it again comes back to $0 and $100. Please let me know how to resolve this issue.

Fixed the size and remove all the options to leave just default to match my theme…
but is resetting all the time! everytime I go to cP, goes 0

I wanted to ask you if this thermometer can be used with JSP pages. If yes, how would I go about doing that? Do i need to convert the PHP code to Java? We use glass fish server which does not support PHP.

Hi There. This looks like it’ll be a great add on to the fund raiser we run. The issue I’m running into is that the image does not look like it’s see through (big white borders) and the text for the funds does not appear. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys, I’ve been trying to figure out why it would be reverting for a couple months now.

Does it happen at any specific time? For example, is it following an upgrade or is it random?
