WordPress PHPINFO() Plugin
Welcome to my blog, please feel free to subscribe to my RSS feed, join me on Twitter or leave a comment.
It’s important for a non technical administrator to be able to diagnose server related problems in WordPress but also rapidly retrieve feedback regarding their web server. This simple plugin adds an option to an adminstrator’s Tools menu which displays standard phpinfo() feedback details to the user.
This a very simple script, designed to help the non technical user get immediate feedback about their blog.
It’s very easy to run a phpinfo() session without running a plugin and I can already hear a lot of people pointed out that this is a little like swatting a fly with a bulldozer but recently I’ve been working with a lot of charities and not-for-profits who lack in-house technical support and the simple process of running a phpinfo() query was daunting.
For those of you who want to run this as a page rather than a plugin, you can upload a php script to your website with the following code:
<?php phpinfo(); ?>
Once you upload the code, simply access the page via the URL. On the other hand, if what I just typed made no sense what-so-ever …

How You Can Help
I love developing plugins for WordPress and do my best to always keep them free but of course it take a lot of time and effort to build these plugins so if you’d like to say thanks, the best way is to take a few moments and write about the plugin on your own website, include a link to my website from your posts or download and rate the plugin on the official plugin directory.
Support forums are now online! If you have any questions, please visit http://forums.thisismyurl.com.

It is very nice plugins.
Sounds like it has been just for me. Thank you. Shall indeed download it.

hi,
thx for this plugin but when I activate it, an error occurs:
Warning: call_user_func_array() [function.call-user-func-array]: First argument is expected to be a valid callback, ‘addHeaderCode’ was given in /home/www/ohempel/trabifant.dirker.org/webroot/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 339
any clue?

Well it’s a pretty simple plugin but I’m glad you’ve liked it.

After activating the plugin, it appeared at the top of my blog. Is it a bug? Any suggestions. Please keep in mind that I am not a programmer and my scripting experience is limited to DOS batch files.
Thanks
Had the same problem.

@Rick & Robin – if you could send me an email with a screen shot and details about the theme for example, I would be happy to take a look and see what’s causing that error for you. chris
Nice info… Haven’t tried the plugin yet. But phpinfo() is a very useful thing.

Hi This plugin was helpful but after peeking at the php info, I needed to uninstall it right away. It created an error/line of code on top of the header of every page of my client’s website. Took quite a while to figure out it was your plugin doing the unsightly damage.
I wanna know how shoemoney made that 130k adsense check in one month I read his post. I have been able to bring in a couple hundred a day here for awhile but I wonder how I can bring that to the next level.
Is it luck that made shoemoney get that huge adsense check? I don’t think so but I have read alot online and learned how to make a few thousand a month in adsense earnings. Anyone venture to guess how shoe many his money?
Re: my comment on March 4, 2009. I just installed version 1.0.0 of Wordpress PHP Info and it seems to be working correctly. That warning message no longer appears at the top of my blog. Thanks.
