Macleans Magazine

When you think of Canada, you should think of our winters. Not that we're always in winter (in fact this week it's about 86* outside) but unlike our Yankee neighbours we're always acutely aware that in just a few months, it's going to freeze.
That makes us more conservative than some and not surprisingly, it makes us think about how our choices today are going to affect us tomorrow. The ‘jump first, look second' mentality that makes America such a great place to live, quickly results in us freezing to death here in the North and because of that, I love that Macleans Magazine (Canada's best weekly news magazine) powers their website with WordPress.
It's not just that I think WordPress is one of the best platforms out there, or that other magazines such as the Christian Science Monitor choose to use it, it's that such an old and stable platform such as Macleans, with all it's typically Canadian hesitation to embrace anything radical uses it.
Their choice to use WordPress proves to me that the platform works and that it's a great, cost-effective solution for new magazines anywhere in the world.
