Blog Round Up - October 16th

Some of you may have noticed I put up a contest today

Welcome to my blog, please feel free to subscribe to my RSS feed, join me on Twitter or leave a comment.

Some of you may have noticed I put up a contest today. For those of you who didn’t see it there’s $1,000 in prizes and a copy of the Adobe CS4 production suite up for grabs so get on over there! Upstart Blogger and his article about giving away free stuff got me started on the kick this morning. I’ve also been reading the Technorati purchase of AdEngage and how they’re starting a new ad network. I’m not sure how it will compete with Google and Facebook but I love the idea of more ad servers out here. As always, Smashing Magazine has released some great artwork for public use.

Turns out the rumors of a $899 MacBook didn’t pan out but that’s OK because the new ones are really cool. Also new is an update from FireStatus and a great article about how social networking browsers can be used. I got a great email from Andy Beal today congratulating me on winning a copy of Content Rich (did I mention the really cool contest I’m running?) and to wrap up my morning … I spend an hour reading horror movie reviews.

Some of you may noticed a lot of design changes around here over the past few days, I’ve been trying to optimize the site to be more user friendly and display the content better, I’ve also been implementing Nathan’s advice on preparing WordPress for Search Engine Optimization. I’d love your feedback regarding the new design or anything here on thisismyurl.com so please, always feel free to comment or drop me an email.
