Great article. It led me to a question which you may be able to answer. I am not an SEO expert, just a website owner trying to understand how to create an effective website. I have a question regarding deep linking and SEO. Do you think it is effective to (a) skip placing a video on the home page and (b) instead placing videos on deep link pages which are topic specific?

The Great Chefs website is stuffed with visual candy and very professionally done. I’d just think the homepage at 3.3 MB may be too much on the plate for the first bite. Other than that some of the items actually made me physically hungry. Nicely done !! Regards – Mal
