Approaching the hill, you catch a glimpse of a home snuggled just below the ridge, high above the Caribbean. As you reach the drive, twin columns and wrought-iron gates frame a view of the sea, 680 feet below. Walk past the pavilion, and the view opens before you, stretching from historic Christiansted toward Buck Island. Palms dance in the trade winds blowing across the sparkling pool and terra-cotta terrace overlooking the sea. Bask on the sunning terrace by the pool. Get creative with the Weber 2000 grill. Lounge by the bougainvillea and feel the trade winds against your skin. Get in touch with silence. When you want to get away from it all without leaving anything behind.

Your privacy is assured: The home stands by itself on the slope, and wrought-iron gates close the drive. This is a beautiful getaway for honeymoons, vacations or private retreats.

The large living area opens to the patio and pool, with uninterrupted views over the Caribbean toward downtown Christiansted and the harbor. A gourmet kitchen is available if you don’t want to dine in town. The master suite opens to the patio area; another bedroom suite has its own private entrance. Everywhere are special touches, from the Weber 2000 gas and charcoal grill in the pavilion, to the garden behind the house.

The private home features three bedrooms, with two queen sized beds and a king sized master bedroom. Children ten and over welcome. Property rents for US$4,000 per week, plus a damage deposit. If you’d like to learn more about booking the home for a week, please email me privately at cross@thisismyurl.com or call me at (504) 322-3485 to discuss renting the home.
