Contest - I saw this article and thought I'd get some great tips on customizing wordpress as a cms or just for more professional purposes than a weblog. Instead the article seems to be just sort of an introduction to what wordpress is and what it can do. This is great information, but I'm sure Automattic has this topic covered - and your title and first paragraph are misleading. A great article on this topic can be found here: http://www.idesignstudios.com/blog/web-design/wordpress-as-cms/ They give some great, concrete about how to customize and expand the functionality of a vanilla wordpress install. This article also contains some really helpful links at the end which help you dig deeper - a reasonably savvy person could actually stumble upon this article and have a great wordpress CMS a few hours later! Anyway, I'd love a copy of billings - I use a very streamlined timetracking app right now, but have been considering moving on to one of the more full-featured ones.
