Giving away valuable and helpful content is a great way to build trust and build your reputation as an expert.  Then when you&#039;re ready to sell something that trust should help you.

I like to think about search engine optimization being a discipline best suited for marketers - not coders. And more importantly, those passionate about putting out content that can help a specific segment of web users. 

A product or service should be part of that content in most cases.  But those that focus on developing the relationship first, then asking for the sale, are typically the ones that benefit the most from their SEO efforts. 

Tricking someone into visiting your site is not a recipe for increased sales, regardless of the effectiveness of the landing page.</description>
