Marketing with Sub Domains and Other Neat Tricks

My fellow blogger buddy over at HomeWeb Marketing has an interesting point that many people don’t like to use sub domains in their marketing which is a real shame because there are some wonderful technical reasons to use the sub domain. (I can hear the question already …. What is a subdomain?)  There’s also a really good three step article on Recession Proof Small Business Internet Marketing Tips that I enjoyed. I’ll be honest, I love reading other people’s blogs, so when I come across great tips I like to share them here.

If you’ve got ten minutes to spare, take a look at the article Easy SEO/Search Engine Optimization Tips | Online Marketing which will help you understand how to optimize your website. Then, if you have another ten minutes to spare, give Real Estate Internet Marketing Tips and Internet Marketing At A Glance a read. These two article both offer some pretty good advice on how to market your online business, even if you’re not in real estate.

I have used subdomains many times before and find them great.
Not only do you only have to pay for the one main domain, they are considered different domains by Google

  2. Absolutely, people often don’t realize that different subdomains (mysite.thisismyurl.com and http://www.thsismyurl.com) are considered multiple domains in Google’s results.

  3. Thank you for all the information. I’m new at internet marketing and am currently investigating subdomains and squeeze pages. It sounds as though they both could be used in the same manner. Can I market the subdomains like I’ve been told to market the squeeze page sites? What are the similarities and differences?
