Tapping into an online phenomenon more popular than porn.

In the world of the internet there are very few things more powerful than pornography. In fact for years the most common search terms and activities on the web found themselves dominated by porn but these days, social networking has over taken the naughty side of the web and is now the most popular form of online entertainment. It wasn’t that long ago Microsoft was investing in the site but today, Facebook represents one of the most direct and powerful ways to interact with not just the under 25 crowd but also older users too.

If you’re new to the concept of Facebook, here’s three easy ways to market yourself on the site and a list of ten amazing blogs with tutorials on the subject.

Build a profile for free
Put links to articles you’ve written, blogs, websites and anything else related to you and your business.

Join groups or start your own
Facebook groups are a free communities for like minded people. Joining these groups helps expose you to others who share a common interest. You can also create free groups for your own products or services.

Advertise

You can buy ads on Facebook to target the location and people you want to market to. It’s actually one of the most cost effect ways for a small business to market themselves and much like Google, you can limit your budget to a fairly small amount of money.

There are countless ways to market on Facebook and almost as many tutorials out there but here are some of my favorites:

  2. How Marketers Use Facebook
  3. Six Ways to Market on Facebook
  4. Facebook Usage and Marketing

Do you have any decent Facebook marketing guides you can share?
