Chris,

Very thorough and insightful tutorial. I always have people asking how to create professional (quality) Websites, and now that I've found this article, I'm going to start sending them here.

Keep up the great work!

It's amazing to see that you actually take none of these advices by heart for your website, your startsite layout looks completly different, anyways a nice tutorial :) Your new look looks rad.

@karen, thanks for your comments!

Coding for CSS is actually very easy. Just think of the <div> tag as the world's greatest tables, once you place content in a DIV you can move it anywhere you'd like on a page fairly simply. As for tutorials, I know that I have a lot of stuff here on the site, and Chris Bavota (http://bavotasan.com) is a gold mine for awesome CSS lessons.

Hi Christopher,

I just found your website following up on something to do with Wordpress plugins.

Thanks for the basic outline of coding a webpage with css.

I've been doing websites since 1997, back in the days before css, and some sites from back then could benefit from converting to using css. However, there doesn't seem to be any easy way to accomplish this.

Just wondering if you have any suggestions on how best to proceed with converting an old style coded site to use css.

Thanks,
Karen
